Mission
The assessment office mission is to treat all taxpayers fair and equitable in all phases of assessment for real estate ad valorem taxation and maintain those rolls for all taxing bodies in Cambria County. Duties include the processing of deeds and plot plans for proper property location, monitor building permits and answer general public inquiries related to assessment.

There are approximately 90,000 parcels in the county encompassing a 692 square mile area. We are made of 91 districts of which 40 are boroughs with 6 of them as wards, 30 are townships and the City of Johnstown contains 21 Wards.
