Mission of the Adult Probation Bureau

To supervise criminal offenders who have been sentenced by the Common Pleas Court of Cambria County, to ensure that society is protected and to ensure that restitution is paid to victims of crime.

Responsibilities of the Adult Probation Bureau

It is our job to make sure that offenders abide by the conditions that govern their probation or parole as well as any special conditions imposed by the court. It is our duty to make available different paths to rehabilitation so that criminal behavior is not repeated in the future.

· Supervision of criminal offenders serving terms of probation or parole
· Pre-Sentence Investigations
· Collection of costs, fines, and restitution
· Supervision of offenders on house arrest
· Supervision of offenders on house arrest with electronic monitoring
· Supervision of offenders on work release programs
· Pretrial Services (Bond Supervision)

1.         How much do I owe on my costs and fines?

a.       Contact the Cost Collections Department at (814) 472-1551.

 

2.         What is the cost for House Arrest?

a.       Electronic monitoring is $400/month (or $15/day); In-House Detention is $200/month (or$10/day).

 

3.         How do I get my drivers license back after a drug charge or DUI suspension?

a.       This is handled by the PA Department of Transportation.  Please contact them at (800) 932-4600.

 

4.         At what time does Dr. Dalton have drug and alcohol sessions?

a.       Drug sessions are on Friday afternoons at least twice a month. 

b.      Alcohol sessions are usually every Friday evening at 5:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. or Saturday mornings at 9:00 a.m., 10:00 a.m., and 11:00 a.m.  All sessions are by appointment only.

 

5.         How do I get to your office in Ebensburg?

a.       We are located on the second floor of the Human Services Building (formerly PMC).   Route 22 to Light at Rebekah Manor & Uni-Mar, turn towards Ebensburg, make left onto Candlelight drive which is located behind Rebekah Manor, building is at the top of the hill.
