 What is the Local Interagency Coordinating Council?
     A team of Parents and agencies working together to create opportunities for all children, especially those with special needs, to participate fully in the community with the supports they need.  Our purpose is to inform, train, address needs, and look for solutions and resources.

What does LICC do?
  • Creates opportunities to promote open communication and coordination of services among families and agencies
  • Provides education and training for families and professionals
  • Supports the inclusion of young children in early intervention in their communities
LICC can Help Parents By:
  • Introducing you to other parents
  • Making the system easier to understand
  • Locating other resources for your child and family including child care.
  • Working with community programs to include your child
  • Assisting you and agencies to come to an agreement on what’s best for your child

    early intervention services your child

    How Can I help as a parent?
    • Assist at child find screenings
    • Assist with family picnic and other family activities sponsored by the LICC
    • Assist with the Evening Parent Trainings including deciding topics and presenters
    • Share your ideas, hopes, and concerns about transition from the Birth to 3 program to preschool and transiti8on from preschool to kindergarten.
