Portage Area Summerfest was one man’s dream. Many dedicated people helped this dream come true for the Portage Area community. It is a fun filled weekend where neighbor meets neighbor, and out of town visitors plan their vacations so they can reunite with friends and family for fun and entertainment.
Portage Area Summerfest is held the second weekend of August every year. Summerfest weekend begins on Friday evening with the Summerfest Dance. Saturday evening there is a fantastic fireworks display at the football stadium. There are many craft booths, a huge variety of food booths, displays, games, shows, pony rides, dances, clowns, and much more. This is the pride of the Portage Area community and everyone waits in anticipation for this special event.
Meetings second Wednesday of every month at Portage Ambulance garage 7 p.m. and then beginning in May at the Summerfest Pavilion in the park. Everyone is welcome!!!
