FULL TIME AND PART TIME POLICE OFFICER

Portage Borough is accepting applications for full and part time Police Officer positions. The candidate must be Act 120 certified, community minded; demonstrate interpersonal and communication skills. Prior experience preferred.

Survey for Portage Area Recreation

The Portage Area Regional Planning Commission, Portage and Cassandra Borough and Portage Township are working together to bring additional recreational activities into the area. We would like to have the residents input by completing a short SURVEY (on-line) concerning the recreational needs within the community. Surveys can also be picked up at the Portage and Cassandra Borough, and Portage Township Administration office.

Portage Borough Council meets the first Monday of

every month beginning at 6:30 p.m. in Council

Chambers for regular council meetings:

The meeting dates for 2012 are:

Tuesday-January 3rd, February 6th, March 5th, April 2nd,

May 7th, June 4th, July 16th, August 6th,

September 10th, October 1st, November 5th,

and December 3rd.

Portage Borough Council meets the third Monday of

every month beginning at 6:30 p.m. in Council

Chambers for committee of the whole meetings:

January 16th, February 21st, March 19th,

April 16th, May 21st, June 18th, no meeting in July,

August 20th, September 17th, October 15th, November 19th,

and a special meeting of Council will be held on

Friday, December 21st at 6:00 p.m.
